Training Regenerative Energies offshore

TREos‘ mission is to specify skills for offshore renewable energy installations. TREos allocates skills profiles to the specific process stages of the plant life cycle from manufacture through to decommissioning.

Additional skills are related primarily to the offshore-specific assignments of marine energy deployment (see figure).

TREos also promotes national and international recognition of its skills profiles, thereby providing a reliable service to training providers.

TREos is a working group within GMT, the German Association for Marine Technology, and engages in close cooperation with other organisations and associations in the marine energy sector.

In September 2011 the NMMT (National Masterplan Maritime Technologies) was issued by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technologies. TREos is part of this NMMT in the topics B4.1 (2) [pages 30, 32 & 45) and I4.3 (pages 31, 32 & 46).
